QHow do I join a league?
Use our search to find leagues within 5 miles of your postcode. You can join as a captain (registering a whole team) or as a solo player — we'll match solo players with teams looking for players, usually within 48 hours.
QDo I need a full team to join?
No. You can join as a single player and we'll match you with a team that needs you. Solo players typically get placed in under 48 hours.
QHow much does it cost?
Match fees vary by venue and format — typically £30-42 per match for the whole team (around £5-7 per player). Season deposit is £100 which secures your slot and is deducted from your match fees over the season. Kits, referees, trophies and league entry are all included.
QCan I try before I commit to a season?
Yes. We offer trial nights at most venues — turn up, play a friendly match, and decide if it's for you. Contact the venue directly via our find-a-league page.
QWhat if my team is late or short of players?
Bring at least 4 players to start (for 6-a-side) or 3 (5-a-side). Late teams forfeit the first 5 minutes of the match. Players can rotate freely — there's no fixed limit on substitutions.
QWhat happens if a match is cancelled?
If we cancel due to weather, venue issues or anything outside your control, you get a full credit toward your next match. If your team can't make it, give us 7 days notice for a credit or you pay the full fee.
QAre matches all evening or are there weekend leagues?
Both — most leagues run weeknights between 6.30pm and 9pm, plus weekend morning and afternoon leagues. Filter by day in the league search.
QHow do I pay for matches?
You can pay match-by-match through the app (Apple Pay, Google Pay, card) or top up your Team Wallet in advance — match fees auto-deduct on Saturday before kick-off.
QWhat is the Team Wallet?
Each team has a shared wallet. Squad members top up — captain or vice-captain manage what's spent. Auto-deducts match fees, keeps a ledger of who paid what. Cuts captain admin to zero.
QCan I get a refund?
Match fees are non-refundable once a match is played but unspent wallet balance is refundable any time during the season. Season deposits are refundable until the first match.
QHow do I invite players to my team?
From your Captain Dashboard > Squad > Invite a player. You can invite by email, SMS or share your team's join code (e.g. DA-1742). Invited players land on your waiting list — you approve them into the squad.
QCan I have a vice-captain?
Yes. From Captain Dashboard > Squad, tap any player and choose 'Make vice-captain'. They get the same management permissions as the captain (excluding billing).
QHow do transfers between teams work?
Players can request a transfer from their Player Dashboard. Both team captains need to approve. There's no transfer fee and no limit during the regular season, but transfers freeze 2 weeks before play-offs.
QWho decides discipline?
Our match-night supervisors and referees. We have a no-nonsense policy — we don't take the word of a player over a referee, ever. Strong discipline keeps the leagues running smoothly.
QHow can I appeal a card or fine?
Captains can submit an appeal via the Captain Dashboard within 48 hours of the match. We review and respond within 3 working days.
QWhat's the Fair Play award?
Each season, the team with the fewest yellow + red cards wins the Fair Play award — a trophy, £200 prize and a year of free league entry.
QHow do I become a referee?
Apply via our referees page. You'll need a clean DBS check, complete a free 2-day FA-approved training course (we cover the cost), and shadow an experienced referee for 4 matches. Then you're earning £20-25 per match.
QHow much do referees earn?
Base rate is £20-25 per match for league games, £30-35 for tournament matches. Top referees handle 3-4 matches per night = £60-100 per evening.
QHow do I enter a tournament?
From your Captain Dashboard, browse Tournaments tab. Pick the event, pay the entry fee, and you're in. One-day knock-outs, qualifying cups and the flagship Star Sixes O2 event are all available.
QWhat is Star Sixes?
Our flagship 6-a-side tournament at the O2 Arena. £10,000 prize, 64 teams, hand-picked from across the UK and Europe. Entries open in May for the June event.
QCan my team qualify for international tournaments?
Yes. League winners and runners-up qualify for regional tournaments which feed into national finals, which feed into European and World Sixes. The pathway is real.
